GOSPEL COMMUNITIES

Gospel Communities are the primary context for discipleship at First City Church.

WHAT ARE GOSPEL COMMUNITIES?

Gospel Communities are small group communities of First City Church centered on Christ committed to one another and the mission of making disciples.

As disciples, we have been given new identities in christ. the regular weekly, monthly, and yearly Rhythms of Gospel Communities are intended to spur growth in living out these identities.

Our Gospel Communities (which you’ll often hear us refer to as “GCs”) involve both regular formal and informal gatherings.

Gather as family.

We gather weekly in homes to share a meal, hang out, and engage in discussion (for the weekly gatherings, each group provides some sort of childcare - so bring your kids!). We also regularly gather informally in homes, at parks, restaurants, and coffee shops.

live as servants.

Through our Gospel Communities, we regularly serve one another, our neighborhoods, and our city.

grow as students.

Gospel Communities are different from traditional Bible studies, support groups, activist clubs, or recovery groups – though they blend aspects of all of these. It’s best to think of a Gospel Community as a context for growing together as followers of Christ.

Our Gospel Communities are open, welcoming, and diverse. So whether you are a mature Christian, one struggling in your faith, or someone completely skeptical of Christianity, you are welcome in gospel community.

First City Church has multiple Gospel Communities that gather weekly throughout Bellevue and Papillion. We would love to connect you to a Gospel Community. Please contact us at info@firstcitybellevue.com.
