Sunday WORSHIP LITURGY

Our sunday gatherings follow a set order of service called a liturgy. Each week our liturgy includes the following:

CALL TO WORSHIP

God is the host of our worsip service, and he invites us into his presence to be re-formed and re-oriented to his majesty, glory, and the great story of redemption.

ADORATION

We worship the Lord in songs that declare God’s holy character, his mighty acts, and his steadfast love. Listen to our worship song list for this Sunday on Spotify.

PROFESSION OF FAITH

We profess our unity with the church throughout history and reinforce the core doctrines of the Christian faith.

PRAYER

We go before our Heavenly Father, in faith, knowing that he hears our prayers.

SCRIPTURE READING

God speaks to us today through his inspired, authoritative, inerrant Word that addresses us in our present condition.

SERMON

The preacher bears witness to the truth of God’s revelation and builds a bridge between the “there and then” of the salvation event in Jesus and the “here and now” of God’s continuing saving activity by the Spirit. Listen to previous sermons here.

Confession

We acknowledge that we are still sinners needing to confess both corporate and personal sins. In confession, we take hold of the promises of God to forgive those who acknowledge their sin.

assurance of pardon

The assurance of pardon conveys the good news of forgiveness through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

COMMUNION

Communion is a sign and seal of the new covenant in Christ. The bread and wine signify his broken body and spilled blood given for the salvation of his people.

BENEDICTION

The benediction is a blessing spoken at the end of the service as the final word to the people of God before they return to the world to serve.
